I have figured out a way to fix the WordPress Stats timezone error. Lately — I think this was around the time of the 3.1.2 update — I have been having an issue with my WordPress v3.1.3 and WordPress.com Stats v1.8.1 where my statistics starts counting for the next day a few hours before 12am in my timezone. It would start counting visits for the next day in my stats and throw off my daily counts. I figured I’d try to fix it by switch from the current timezone to another timezone, then switching the setting back to the desired timezone. Low and behold, it worked. Here’s the process in which to fix it:
1. Go to Settings > General in your blog’s Dashboard.
2. Go to Timezone and set the time zone to another location. Click “Save Settings”.
3. Go back to Timezone and set the time zone back to your current location. Click “Save Settings”.
Well I hope you enjoy this fix as much as I do. I was scratching my head so much until I stumbled upon this fix.
