Over the past few days, I have attempted to tweet from Hootsuite on my Android Incredible 2 smartphone to find the error “Problem Sending Message” accompanied by the annoying notification “!” icon. I kept retying and retying, but to no avail. Now, this can be a costly to my tweeting because oftentimes I am tweeting at an event or reporting something that is time-sensitive. If I cannot send these updates, then what’s the point of even sending it in the first place? Very unsatisfactory.
I began searching online for a solution, but was not able to find anything recent, or anything that worked as a matter of fact. So, I went on a venture to solve it myself; Here’s how to fix this annoying error:
In Hootsuite, hit the menu button and go to settings. Press on through to Manage Social Networks and click on the account in question. Make sure your login and password are properly entered. Did you change your password recently? Make sure it’s correct!! This is easily the most overlooked and simplest barrier, so double check your keystrokes!
If this doesn’t work, give your phone a restart.
If this doesn’t work — and this is where I was stuck — uninstall Hootsuite and reinstall. Log back in, and you should be good to go. If you change passwords, I think Hootsuite has a difficult time managing this and you may need to reinstall again. It might be some sort of caching thing, something beyond my scope, but it worked for me and this solution should work for you, too.
If it doesn’t work out for you, please leave me a comment in the section below and I will try to assist. If it worked for you, show some love and leave a comment!
